Each of our tiles are handcrafted, with designs ranging
from specific dog breeds, Japanese Koi or a simple landscape. All
of our tiles are worked onto a hand poured, clay slip tile. Underglaze colors applied, then fired
in a kiln, to a bisque state. Glaze colors are added, the piece is again fired, giving the tile a
hard durable surface. Glossy and impervious to water, the design is permently set into
the tile.

Our work comes from a variety of sources . Inspiration for a number of tiles shown are from our own dogs, Pharaoh Hounds. A primitive breed with strong ties to ancient Egypt. Capturing the spirit and humor of these marvelous animals is constant and ongoing.
